3 - 12 year

13 - 19 year

From December 12, 2025, there will be two groups of Futuremakers.

Young Futuremakers 3 - 12

What it is:

Futuremakers is a project where children learn project-based and cross-curricular. Each child learns at their own speed, can develop their own talents and gains insight into their own talents and skills.

Themes and curriculum:

For a month, we work with the children around a theme. Within this theme curricular lines are drawn up. These give direction but the child then chooses what exactly will be learned within that curricular line.

Who it's for:

Futuremakers is focused at children between the ages of 3 and 12. Children whose native language is Dutch or English can participate. The children will learn within themes in a mixed group at their own pace and according to their own needs. They will learn together about the same topics at their own level.

Portfolio and presentation:

The things that are learned, special moments, and important steps are recorded in a portfolio. The difficult moments and the moments that were easier for the child are discussed. Attention is paid to motor development, cognitive development, social-emotional development, language development, moral development and personal development.

At the end of two months, each student will give a presentation on the achievement around the theme. Parents and other interested parties are invited to this.

When and Where:

This project  started on September 1 (2025). Participate can be for one or two days a week. Teaching days are Monday and Wednesday from 10 am to 4 pm. Learning will take place in the designated outdoor area, the covered area on the farm and in nature on our property.

Learning Portuguese

We find it very important that the children learn the Portuguese language as well. Therefore, there will be a lot of attention to learning the Portuguese language. As soon as there are enough participants and it is possible to hire a native Portuguese teacher, that is what will be arranged.

citizen of the world

We value forming conscious global citizens. Students will learn during their projects that they are part of a larger world with complex problems. As they grow older, their world gets a little bigger and bigger and they learn about connectedness, shared responsibilities, cultural differences and global challenges. They learn who they want to be as global citizens and how they can use their talents for this.

Talent development

Working on your talents every day! Who wouldn't want that. Our students will work on talent development every day. This gives students the opportunity to do their best whether it is making music, painting, writing or any other skill. There will also be room to develop new talents through a varied program of activities.

coaching

Because learning takes place in small groups, there is plenty of attention for all individual children. This leaves room for the children all to be supervised according to their own needs. The children work with individual goals and are coached in the process from goal setting to goal achievement.

Older Futuremakers 13 - 19

A new project will start on December 12, 2025. This project is specifically for young people between the ages of 13 and 19.

For who:

This project is for young people who want to discover who they are and what talents they have. A varied program will be provided to help you discover this. You will be encouraged to think and get to work on various projects and activities. At each meeting, you will work on your individual goals and collaborate with other young people. Make friends, explore your own limits, and discover what you have to offer the world!

Furthermore:

In addition to working on assignments, we will also do fun activities. I will organize these for you or we will plan them together. Always with the aim of trying new things, challenging each other, and discovering what makes you happy or what you are good at.

Cost:

€30 per person (discount for multiple participants from the same family).

Details:

During the project days, you will work on assignments. These assignments come from clients. You and your group members will work on the assignments in order to ultimately deliver the desired product to the clients. While working on the assignments, you will acquire new skills, learn to work together, and discover whether what you are doing suits you or not. While creating the product, you will be supervised by a professional. He or she will give you valuable tips during the preparation and design phase and teach you how to actually make the product. When the product is ready, you will deliver it to the client.

The final step consists of an evaluation. You will receive feedback from the client, the professional, and me as your supervisor. You will also reflect on all the steps you have taken. From sketch to evaluation, everything will be recorded in a portfolio.

The plan is to look for a wide range of assignments within our network, yours, and that of your group members. From building bookcases to photo shoots for websites and from laying out vegetable gardens to repairing electronic devices. The more varied the assignments, the more there is to explore.

Example:

A neighbor of ours needs a new bookshelf. You talk to her to find out

what her wishes are. Are certain measurements important because of the location in her home? Does she have a particular preference when it comes to the material the bookshelf is made of? What is the budget? Once the neighbor's wishes are clear, you start designing the bookshelf. You do this with the help of tips from an experienced professional. Once your sketch is ready and has been checked, you will show it to the neighbor. If she agrees, the real work can begin. Under the guidance of the professional, you will build the bookshelf. When it is finished, you will hand it over to the neighbor. Mission accomplished!

Spoken language:

Dutch and English.
